Starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, Kites directed by Anurag Basu has Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut as the female leads. The film was made with a huge budget of Rs 50 crore but failed to collect even Rs 20 crore at the box office.
Directed by Subhash Ghai, Yuvraj starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as the lead pair is a big flop at the box office. As per the Bollywood reports, the film hardly collected Rs 10 crore at the box office and ended up as one of the major flops in 2008.
Starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra as the lead pair, Love Story 2050 is a sci-fi romantic thriller that was directed by Harman Baweja’s father Harry Baweja. Made with a budget of Rs 20 crore, the film failed to recover even Rs 5 crore from the theatrical run. The film marks Harman Baweja’s debut film as an actor and affected his career as he stopped doing films later.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Ra. One is a sci-fi thriller that stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Box office reports say that Ra. One was one of the loss ventures in Bollywood back then. The film has Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in prominent roles.
Starring Salman Khan in the lead role, Tubelight directed by Kabir Khan was a washout disaster at the box office. As per the Bollywood reports, Tubelight is one of the most underperformed films in Salman Khan’s career.
Bollywood filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s romantic drama, Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma failed miserably at the box office. Zero box office results affected SRK in such as way that he was away from signing a new project for more than 2 years. Katrina Kaif did an extended cameo role in the movie.
Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet was a washout disaster at the box office. Co-starring Karan Johar in the antagonist role, this period drama directed by Anurag Kashyap bombed at the box office. As per the Bollywood reports, the film was made with a budget of Rs 120 Crores and managed to collect less than Rs 40 crore at the box office.
Saawariya marks the silver screen debut for the lead pair Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the film. Even though Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were lucky to start their career with SLB, the film didn’t help their respective careers. The grand visuals and lavish set work didn’t save the film and tanked at the box office.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as the lead pair, Shaandaar failed at the box office. Even Alia Bhatt is one of her interviewes admitted that the one film she regrets doing is Shaandaar. Before the film’s release, everyone was hoping for Shahid Kapoor and Alia to do wonders at the box office but it ended up being a huge disappointment. Made with a budget of Rs 75 crores, Shaandaar failed to recover even twenty percent of the investment.
Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as the lead pair, Radhe Shyam was released on March 11th. Opened to poor reports, the film failed at the box office miserably and failed to recover even fifty percent of the investment. Radha Krishna Kumar is the film director.
