Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar’s new film, Toofaan is going to skip its theatrical release and opt for a direct OTT release. Popular streaming channel Amazon Prime Video has acquired the rights of the film. Meanwhile, this afternoon, the Amazon Prime management has unveiled the theatrical trailer of the film.
Going by trailer, it is evident that the film is a boxing drama and revolves around a boxer named Aziz Ali. Being a street fighter, Aziz Ali emerges as a champion in kick-boxing and will be titled as Toofaan by his colleagues and coaches in the boxing field but all of sudden he will be suspended for five years from playing the game. What are the reasons behind Aziz Ali’s suspension? Will he be able to bounce back after the suspension period? What kind of hurdles will he face in his journey? Is expected to be the main USB of the film. Farhan Akhtar has impressed big-time with his aggressive nature as a boxer in the promotional video.
Co-starring Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal among others in the key roles, Toofaan is being directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film is ready for the premieres on July 16 on the streaming platform.
