Venkatesh and Varun turned out to be one of the most unique and unexpectedly interesting combinations in recent cinema. They churned out an out and out entertainer in the form of F2, directed by Anil Ravipudi, which turned out to be one of the most hilarious and successful films of 2019.
There was a lot of excitement when it was announced that there would be a sequel to F2, F3, which would bring back all the original cast, and include new cast members. Tamannaah, Mehreen and Rajendra Prasad will be seen along with Venky and Varun once again, and reports suggest that 8 heroines would have an interesting cameo in the film. The F2 and F3 films mark the very first funny franchise in Tollywood, very much like the Golmaal franchise in Hindi.
The shooting of F3 began before the second wave and was halted due to the second wave. The team of F3 have begun shooting for the film today, after an unexpected break due to the second wave of coronavirus, and the lockdown induced because of it. Apart from F3, Venkatesh currently has Naarappa and Drushyam 2 ready for release, both of which are going to be released on OTT platforms directly. On the other hand, Varun is busy with his upcoming film Ghani, in which he will be seen as a boxer.
