The only major release and success so far, in Tollywood, after the second wave of coronavirus, that is, is Love Story, featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, directed by Sekhar Kammula. The movie continues to run successfully in cities but is experiencing a fall in other regions this week, while it was strong until last week. The movie is expected to be out of theatres next week, with Dussehra releases coming up.
The two releases this week, Konda Polam and Aaradugula Bullet, turned out to be huge disasters at the box office. While audiences had good expectations on Konda Polam, and it got a good opening, the film fell from the second day. On the other hand, Gopichand’s very much delayed Aaradugula Bullet didn’t really carry many expectations in the beginning either, and with a completely outdated storyline, has turned out to be a huge disaster.
Next week’s releases, Maha Samudram and Most Eligible Bachelor have good expectations on them and are the only two films that can make things better for Tollywood, If those two films also disappoint audiences, then Tollywood’s slump is expected to continue.
