The minute Cinematic Universe is mentioned, anyone would think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which introduced a worldwide phenomenon that everyone’s wanted to replicate after that. Consisting of multiple superheroes, the MCU became a blockbuster franchise, raking in billions at the box office. Ever since the success of the MCU, every other film franchise and studio has wanted to replicate the same kind of success but failed at it.
Indian audiences too are waiting for anyone to attempt to make a cinematic franchise of our own, that audiences would be able to relate to. Bollywood director Rohit Shetty has already made his own cinematic universe, more commonly known as Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cop Universe’, which brings together Ajaya Devgn’s Singham, Ranveer Singh’s Simmba, and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.
Now, Tollywood too is about to get its own cinematic universe, with young director Prashant Varma announcing his own cinematic universe. What it will be, and who will star in it is still a surprise, but it will definitely be very interesting to see what he will bring to the audiences. Prashant Varma has delivered unique concepts to the audiences so far, in the form of Awe and Zombie Reddy, which is making his cinematic universe a highly interesting one to look forward to.
