Tollywood’s Friday Films Fail to Impress

This past Friday, Tollywood witnessed the release of several films with high expectations, but unfortunately, none of them managed to make a mark at the box office. Among the most heavily promoted films was Naga Shourya’s “Rangabali,” with the team expressing confidence in delivering a blockbuster.

However, the film’s second half faltered, and the illogical and emotionally unsatisfying screenplay further contributed to its downfall. As a result, the film experienced a lack of audience turnout on Saturday. Another film that garnered attention was “Bhaag Sale,” featuring Keeravani’s son Sri Simha.

The Bhaag Sale movie received extensive promotion from the hero’s friends and family, giving hope that this crime-comedy would revive the struggling genre. Unfortunately, “Bhaag Sale” failed to engage the audience with its lifeless narrative and forced humor, leading to empty chairs in theaters in no time. Meanwhile, the vintage drama “Rudrangi” was expected to surprise audiences like the successful film “Kantara” did.

However, it lacked the magic needed to captivate viewers, and the box office results indicated that hype alone cannot compensate for a lackluster content. In addition to these films, a couple of smaller releases like Neelankanta’s “Circle” failed to create any impact at the box office. Consequently, the previous week’s film, Sree Vishnu’s “Samajavaragamana,” continued to dominate and generate substantial revenue.
