Many celebrities were in the limelight four years ago, in 2017, when they found themselves in the midst of an extensive investigation done into the drug racket in the Telugu Film Industry. Puri Jagannadh, Charmee Kaur, Ravi Teja, Navdeep and many others were questioned in this case, and a total of 11 people received notices from the Special Investigation Team of the Excise department, with respect to this case.
These celebrities were questioned based on the information given by Calvin Mascarenhas, the kingpin of the drug racket in Hyderabad. The blood, nails and hair sample of these celebrities were also collected during their interrogation, and now, after four years, it is said that there has been some progress in the matter.
The Special Investigation Team of the Excise Department is said to have filed a charge sheet in this drug case, and the concerned documents are said to have been submitted before the Nampally Court. The Nampally court has also reportedly approved this report, and it is being said that the new TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy, is demanding an ED investigation into the matter, as soon as possible. It is now to be seen what developments will take place in this case now.
