The Telugu Film Industry has been paving the way for all other film industries in the country for quite some time now. Tollywood is the only industry that has aced the art of perfectly blending together concept and commercial elements in a film, like no other industry in the country has.
Tollywood majorly shocked everyone with the Baahubali franchise, which was talked about, throughout the world, for its groundbreaking visual effects and for its competent content. This was once again done, when Tollywood was the first film industry in India to reopen theatres and release films, after the first wave of coronavirus. What’s more, Tollywood shocked everyone with the continuous hits it was delivering back to back hit films.
Tollywood is yet again showing the way, by reinventing the sports drama genre, with several upcoming films based on sports, including Varun Tej’s Ghani and Gopichand’s Seetimarr, among others. Many other films are also opting the same route, and Bollywood is remaking some of Tollywood’s sports hits, of which Jersey is one. Apart from that, Tollywood is also opting for theatrical releases, from July 30th, with Satya Dev’s Thimmarusu being the first film to release post the second wave of coronavirus.
