Tollywood: Lots of content, lots of responsibilities

The Telugu film industry is one of the biggest producers of films in the world, having produced the most number of films in the world, at one point. The industry has also paved the way even during the pandemic, being the first to dare to release films in theatres, and even managed to score blockbuster successes, with houseful boards.

A number of films were scheduled to release this year, beginning from Sankranthi, but things got tricky after two of the biggest releases from Tollywood this year, RRR and Radhe Shyam, were postponed, due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country, As a result, all the films that are scheduled to release in February and the other months are also not certain to release as per their original schedules, owing to the uncertainty of the release of RRR and Radhe Shyam, and the covid situation in the country.

With so many unreleased films, and a number of departments always included in the making of a project, it is a huge task to make sure that no small information comes out to the public before the film’s release. As a result, with so much content in production, the responsibility for the industry has also immensely increased.
