Tollywood actor and entrepreneur Dharma Mahesh opened the third branch of Jismat Jail Mandi Restaurant in Guntur on December 11, 2025. The launch became a huge celebration, starting with a big bike rally where more than a thousand people gave Mahesh a grand, hero-like welcome.
The event was special for him because his whole family — mother Kakani Aruna, father Kakani Venkateswara Rao, sister Kakani Bhagya Lakshmi, and Jismat’s Legal Advisor Nagurbabu N — joined him for the ceremony.
Mahesh began his food journey in 2017 with Gismat Arabic Mandi in Guntur, which soon became popular across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for its unique Jail Mandi and Arabic Mandi dishes.
The brand grew to over 17 branches. Earlier this year, he converted the business into Gismat Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. and renamed it Jismat, dedicating the new name to his son Jhagadwaja. The Guntur launch marks both business growth and a personal milestone.
