The Telugu Film Industry is one industry in the country that releases continuous films, with at least one film released every week. However, things changed drastically after the coronavirus pandemic, with the industry put on hold for several months before it could bounce back. When it looked like things were finally getting better, the second wave once again complicated things.
The industry once again was put on hold for a few months before films could be released, and before shootings could be resumed. Since then, while films have been released, only two major films have been released – Akhanda and Pushpa, with the others being postponed due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.
Had everything continued to be somewhat normal, then RRR and Radhe Shyam would have been released in January, but they are now scheduled to release in March. On the whole, Tollywood is currently going through a very dry period with no releases.
