One of the most promising and upcoming actresses in India currently, is Sobhita Dhulipala, a Telugu girl, who is turning heads with her spectacular performances and intriguing script selections. She signs films only selectively if she feels her character has some scope in the film. The actress was previously seen in Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari, in Telugu, and will be seen in Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film Major.
In the meantime, it is being said that Sobhita has signed her first Hollywood project. The film, titled Monkey Man, is being directed by Dev Patel, who will also be starring in the film. Bron Studios and Thunder Road are the producers of the project, and Netflix international is said to have acquired the streaming rights of the film at a massive price.
On the other hand, Sobhita is currently busy with a number of projects, apart from Major, including Kurup in Malayalam, Sitara in Hindi, and Ponniyin Selvan in Tamil. Sobhita will be one of the few actresses from India, after Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, and others, who will be making her debut in Hollywood, with Monkey Man. The story and other details of Monkey Man are yet to be announced.
