A lot of grand plans were made for this year’s Sankranti, by Tollywood filmmakers. However, these plans were crashed due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country at the time. This year’s summer turned out to be very successful for Tollywood though, with a number of films having been released during this period.
Now, Tollywood is already gearing up for the next big season, Dasara. Owing to the good number of holidays during this period, every major actor, director and producer always wish to get their film released at this time. It is now being said that the makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming movie, directed by Gopichand Malineni, intend to release the film for Dasara.
Apart from that, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather – a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer, directed by Mohan Raja – is also said to be aiming for a Dasara release, along with Akhil Akkineni’s Agent, which is being directed by Surender Reddy. It is now to be seen whether all these films will be released as per plan, and if any other films will join the list.
