Every single action plan and the way it had to be carried was planned out well, and Tollywood was in one of the best phases in a long time, right before the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic in early 2020. As a result, every plan was shattered, and chaos prevailed, with no one sure of the way forward.
While everything seemed to get back to normal after the first wave of the coronavirus, the second wave of the virus turned things upside down once again, with a more devastating blow. Things are now slowly getting better, after the second wave, with the release of films on a continuous note, and with the release of big films as well, which are doing well at the box office. Due to the several delayed projects because of coronavirus, a lot of films are in the pipeline, waiting to be released.
A major clash has been avoided for the upcoming Sankranthi season, during which the release of several big films like RRR, Bheemla Nayak and Radhe Shyam was planned. Now, Bheemla Nayak has been postponed, and there’s no more severe clashing of any big films at the box office, which could result in a revenue deficit for the industry. While RRR and Radhe Shyam are set to release within a week’s gap, analysts are of the opinion that it wouldn’t result in a major clash.
