Apart from the actors, there are many other people in the film industry, whose life is hidden behind these shining lights and these stars. This film by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur is about one of those junior artists who may be a junior artist today but is dreaming of becoming a superstar. The film has been released today on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Story: The story of this film revolves around the character, one of whom is Sheru (Nawazuddin) who is replaced in every scene due to his overacting. Sheru wants to become a film director but the journey is not an easy one, so he starts pimping girls to survive in this big city.
And the second character of this film is Tiku (Avneet Kaur) who is a resident of Bhopal. Tiku also dreams of becoming a heroine. One day Sheru’s relation comes to Tiku but Tiku refuses her, then Tiku’s boyfriend tells her that she can come to Mumbai on the pretext of this marriage. After this Tiku and Sheru get married. Then when Tiku comes to Mumbai, she runs away from Sheru’s house and then she comes to know that her boyfriend is already married. Performance: Avneet Kaur has made her debut with this film, this is Avneet’s first movie so according to that she has done good acting. Avneet has lived the character but she seems to be getting beaten in the dialogues. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s acting is also good, but looking at his acting somewhere, something is missing. The film completely revolves around Nawazuddin, while the acting of the rest of the actors does not seem to be of much importance.
Technicalities: There is no thrill in the story of this film, After 20 minutes of watching the film, it seems that what will be the end. The story of the film is okay but the script and direction of the film make it a bit boring. There are some such comedy scenes in the film, after watching which, there is no laughter at all. If told, there was a need to work more on the script of the film.
Analysis: Talking about the film, the film got defeated in its script itself. It is good that the film is not of long duration, so the scenes of this film are also getting over quickly. Due to the script of the film, we are not able to connect with the film, many scenes seem incomplete. As Tiku tries to commit suicide when she comes to know that her boyfriend has cheated on her, however, Tiku’s pain does not reach us mainly because of the script and direction of the film. There are many such scenes in the film which have been inserted forcefully, this also affected the story, as well as the character could not be seen doing justice to his role.
Verdict: Talking about watching the film or not, the duration of the film is also less than 2 hours, if you are a fan of Nawazuddin and want to see him on screen, then this can be watched.
