Kollywood star Ajith Kumar’s upcoming actioner, Thunivu under the direction of H Vinoth is gearing up for a Pongal release. As per the reports, the film has already wrapped up its shooting part and post-production work is also underway at a brisk pace. Already news came out that the film will have a simultaneous release in Telugu.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that the makers will be releasing the theatrical trailer on December 31st. Sources reveal that the trailer of Thunivu will be at 12 AM midnight. This comes as a double treat news for Ajith fans during New Year’s eve.
Telugu title for Thunivu is locked as Thegimpu. Noted overseas distribution channel Radhakrishna Entertainments in association with IVY Productions has acquired the Telugu distribution rights of Thunivu. Reports say that the Telugu distribution rights of Thunivu are sold for Rs 3 crore.
Red Gaint Movies banner owned by Udhaynidhi Stalin is releasing Thunivu across Tamil Nadu. Being directed by H Vinoth, Thunivu marks the third collaboration of the actor-director duo after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Noted Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor is bankrolling Thunivu. Co-starring Manju Warrier in a key role, Ghibran is the music composer for this intense action thriller. Though an official announcement is awaited, Thegimpu/ Thunivu will hit the screens on January 11th, say trade sources.
