Many actors come into film industry with the eyes full of dreams and thinking about the brighter future among the arch lights of fame and name. Only few manage to achieve and sustain it all over a period of time. For actresses, it gets even difficult as industry would be looking new beauties every moment. While all of them would branch out to different professions or get married to a wealthy person and settle down, very few of them work for the upliftment and welfare of the society. These kind are quite rare, as the charity work dies down with popularity. Samantha Ruth Prabhu belongs to the rare category of actors who are continuing to do the welfare work continuously and wish to continue even further.She with the help of her gynaecologist friend, Doctor Manjula, and Sasi, her close friend, started the Pratyusha organisation that takes care of the babies, children with health issues from the time if birth and women who lack knowledge about the various health problems.
The organisation is quite successfully helped 23 babies with surgeries at Andhra Hospital in Vijayawada for the first time and since then they are helping babies through Rainbow hospital in hyderabad. They have till now helped 600 children for polio drops and 50 surgeries. Through Make A Wish foundation, they took few children to show them Taj Mahal. Like this, they helped almost 2000 children in the last three years from the time of inception.Samantha shared her happiness on this occasion to a Telugu News daily and exclaimed that even she cannot believe that she was able to do such work over the period of time she managed to. She wishes to make money by conducting many more events and continue with the organisation as long as she can and after her too. Doctor Manjula also expressed the same wish and thanked Samantha for her unconditional support and Sasi for organising the events and taking care of the Pratyusha Foundation.
Explaining about the origin of the idea both the strong women shared their experiences that lead to the birth of the foundation. Doctor Manjula as a gynaecologist saw many women taken for ride due to their lack of proper knowledge and monetary problems of the parents of newly borns who needs incubation. The lack of proper facilities and economical condition prompted Manjula to help as many children as possible but she needed someone who taken this further into people and make it a movement. As a blessing, she met Samantha and being a person from Middle Class family and watching her mother help others within the money she had, Samantha also participated in the discussions with enthusiasm and contributed big time.
But both being busy professionals needed someone to take care of the foundation records and programs. Organise the events and understand the scale at which they can help. Sasi, a digital marketeer came into the picture at this juncture, a long time friend of Samantha who agreed to take the manager position at the foundation. With her skills and Samantha’s popularity, Pratyusha Foundation is running as a grand success. Soon the foundation wants to expand in Tamil Nadu who started an office in Chennai, recently.Samantha expressed her wish to help many more young girls like Chandni, who lost a leg in accident. She remembered that the time when she needed someone to help her get through her health issues and she wishes that Pratyusha will be such a guarding angel for many unfortunate souls that deserve happiness and prosperity.
