2021 started off with a great promise after 2020 left a very bitter taste in everyone’s mouth. The month of January, especially the Sankranthi season was a highly promising one for Tollywood, with films that were released during the season performing exceptionally well. Films were released continuously until April, after which the second wave of the pandemic took over the country, and once again impacted the theatre business negatively.
As a result, there are several films that are still yet to be released. The immediate festival coming up for us in Vinayaka Chaviti, and on the occasion, three films have announced release dates. Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story, featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the leading roles, has been one of the most awaited films in Tollywood, and the makers have announced September 10th as the release date of the film.
On the other hand, Nani’s Tuck Jagdish and Nithiin’s Maestro have also been announced to be released on September 10th and will be directly released on OTT platforms. All in all, Vinayaka Chaviti seems to be very promising this year, with three films ready to release. Here’s hoping that these films turn out to be good successes.
