Last Friday saw a clash between two films at the box office: “Aadikeshava,” starring Vaishnav Tej and Sreeleela, and “Kota Bommali PS,” featuring Srikanth. Initially, many expected “Aadikeshava” to dominate due to its star power and buzz surrounding it.
However, “Kota Bommali PS,” a remake of the popular Malayalam film Nayattu, managed to surprise with its engaging storyline and strong performances by Srikanth and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar. Despite the anticipation for “Aadikeshava,” which was perceived as a more routine movie, “Kota Bommali PS” gained traction with its intriguing twists and compelling acting.
This led to solid bookings for its Saturday morning and evening shows. The film’s success in relation to its budget and release scale, backed by producer Bunny Vas, is garnering a positive response. The inclusion of political elements in the storyline has also attracted significant attention, especially amidst the ongoing election fever in the Telugu states.
Directed by Teja Marni, known for “Johar,” “Kota Bommali PS” also stars Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajasekhar in prominent roles, contributing significantly to the film’s success. If the movie sustains its momentum through Monday, the producer stands to reap substantial rewards at the box office.
