This Week Theatrical and OTT Releases

As Dasara festival season is going on, the filmmakers are releasing movies on October 5th in theaters. At the same time, a few OTT movies/ shows are also ready to entertain the digital audience. Now, we bring you the list of films and OTT releases during this mid-week festival time on October 5th.

Theatrical Releases:

1) GodFather

Starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role, GodFather directed by Mohan Raja is slated to hit the screens on October 5th. The film also stars Nayanthara, Satyadev, Sunil among others in key roles.

2) The Ghost

Directed by Praveen Sattaru, The Ghost starring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Sonal Chauhan as the lead pair is ready for a theatrical release on October 5th.

3) Swathimuthyam

Starring Bellamkonda Ganesh and Varsha Bollamma as the lead pair, Swathimuthyam directed by Lakshman K Krishna is slated to hit the screens on October 5th.

OTT Releases:

1) Eesho

Directed by Nadirsha, Eesho is a Malayalam language film gearing up for direct-to-OTT release on October 5th exclusively on SonyLIV.

2) Karthikeya 2

Tollywood actor-director duo Nikhil and Chandoo Mondeti’s adventure drama, Karthikeya 2 which was released in August went on to become a blockbuster success. The film is gearing up for OTT premieres on Zee5 on October 5th.

3) Gaalipata2

Directed by Yogaraj Bhat, Gaalipata 2 starring Ganesh, Samyuktha Menon, Vaibhavi Shandiya in key roles had a theatrical release in August. This Kannada language film is gearing up for digital premieres on Zee5 on October 5th.

4) Ottu/Rendagam

Written and directed by Fellini T.P, Ottu a Malayalam language film which is dubbed in Tamil as Rendagam and was released in theaters in September. Starring Arvind Swamy, Kunchacko Boban, Eesha Rebba, Jackie Shroff in key roles, the film is ready for digital premieres on Simply South on October 5th.

5) Oru Thekkan Thallu Case

Oru Thekkan Thallu Case is a Malayalam language film ready for digital premieres on Netflix on October 5th.

6) Maja Ma

Starring Madhuri Dixit in a key role, Maja Ma is a Hindi language film gearing up for direct-to-OTT release on Amazon Prime Video on October 5th.

7) Raksha Bandhan

Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan had a theatrical release in August. This Anand L Rai directional is slated for digital premieres on October 5th on Zee5.

8) Uniki

A small Telugu film titled, Uniki starring Chitra Shukla in the lead role is gearing up for direct-to-OTT release on Aha on October 5th.

9) Darja

A Telugu language film titled, Darja is slated for direct-to-OTT release on Aha on October 5th.

10) Luckiest Girl Alive

Luckiest Girl Alive is a English language film gearing up for premieres on Netflix on October 5th.
