This week theatrical and OTT releases

Like every week also a few films. including James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water are gearing up for a theatrical release. Along with theatrical releases, a good number of web series’ and OTT shows are scheduled for digital premieres. Now, we bring you the list of films and OTT shows ready to entertain the audience. Below is the list.

Theatrical releases:

1) Avatar: The way of Water

The much-awaited graphical extravaganza from Hollywood director James Cameron’s cinematic universe, Avatar-The Way of Water aka Avatar 2 is scheduled for a global release on December 16th.

2) Long Drive

Starring Tejaswini Shekar, Arjun Yogesh Raj, Supritha Sathyanarayan in lead roles, Long Drive is a Kannada language film scheduled for December 15th release. Shree Raj is the film director.

3) U Turn 2

Directed by Chandru Obaiah, U Turn 2 featuring Ugramm Ravi, Pooja SM among others in prominent roles is gearing up for a theatrical release in Kannada and Telugu languages simultaneously on December 16th.

4) Sasanasabha

Starring Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni, Hebah Patel, Sonia Agarwal, Prudhvi Raj, Indrasena among others in key roles, Sasanasabha directed by Venu Madikanti is gearing up for a theatrical release on December 16th.

5) Pasivadi Pranam

Directed by N.S. Murthy, Pasivadi Pranam starring Allu Vamsi, Iti Acharya, Kumar Sai and Rubina in lead roles is scheduled for December 16th release.

6) Aakrosham

Starring Tamil hero Arun Vijay in the lead role, Sinan is scheduled for a simultaneous release in Telugu as Aakrosham this weekend.

7) The Good Maharaja

The Good Maharaja is Indo-Polish war epic film directed by Vikash Verma and produced by G7 Films Poland. Starring Sanjay Dutt in the titular role of Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja, the film is slated to hit the this weekend.

8) Ajay Wardhan

Ajay Wardhan is an Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film directed by Pragathi Agarwal. The films stars Romil Chaudhary, Arjumman Mughal, Ruslaan Mumtaz and Aham Sharma in lead roles and is slated to hit the screens on December 16th.

9) Shambo Shiva Shankara

This Kannada language movie scheduled to release on 16 Dec, 2022. The movie is directed by Shankar Konamanahalli.

10) Trahimam

This Hindi language film starring Pankaj Berry, Arshi Khan, Raju Kher, Mushtaq Khan, and Adi Irani in prominent roles is slated to hit the screens on December 16th. Dushyant Pratap is the film director.

11) Modala Miditha

Modala Miditha is a Kannada movie gearing up for 16 December, 2022 release. The movie is directed by Hari Chetu and has Nimish Sagar and Rashmitha Roja as the lead pair.

12) Victoria : Ek Rahasya

This Marathi movie is scheduled to release on 16 December, 2022. The movie is directed by Virajas Kulkarni and has Pushkar Jog, Sonalee Kulkarni and Aashay Kulkarni as lead characters.

13) Dhondi Champya – Ek Prem Katha

Directed by Dnyanesh Bhalekar, Dhondi Champya- Ek Prem Katha starring Bharat Jadhav, Sayli Patil, Vaibhav Mangale, Nikhil Vitthal Chavan in key roles is scheduled for a this weekend theatrical release.

14) Ninga

Starring Ramesh Bhat and Sudha Belawadi as the lead pair, Ninga a Kannada language film is gearing up for a theatrical release this weekend.

15) Temper

This Kannada movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on 16 December, 2022. The movie is directed by Manju Kavi and has Aryan Surya, Master Pavan More and Kaaahima in lead roles.

16) Gairee

This is a Marathi language film starring Mayuresh Pem and Namrata Gaikwad as the lead pair is all set to hit screens on December 16, 2022.

17) Vamanan

This Malayalam language movie is directed by A B Binil. Starring Indrans, Baiju Santhosh and Seema G. Nair in lead roles, the film is scheduled for a December 16th release.

OTT releases:

Zee5:

1) Har Har Mahadev

The film is a 2022 Marathi film released in multiple languages like Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. It is now gearing up for digital premieres on Zee5 during this week.

2) Ananta (The Eternal)

Directed by Abhinandan Dutta, Ananta starring Anindya Pulak Banerjee, Ritwick Chakraborty and Sohini Sarkar as the lead pair is scheduled for digital premieres on December 16th exclusively on Zee5.

Netflix:

1) An English language documentary Kangaroo Valley is scheduled for OTT premieres on Netflix on December 16th.

2) I Believe in Santa

Directed by Alex Ranarivelo, the film has Christina Moore, John Ducey, Violet McGraw, Sachin Bhatt in key roles and is gearing up for digital premieres on Netflix during this weekend.

3) The Big Four

A Chinese language film titled, The Big Four is gearing up for OTT premieres on Netflix this weekend.

4) Private Lesson

The film is a quirky romantic movie featuring Bensu Soral in the lead role ready for a release on Netflix on December 16, 2022.

5) Code Name: Tiranga

Tiranga is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language spy action drama film written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The film has Parineeti Chopra, Harrdy Sandhu, Sharad Kelkar in key roles. The film gearing up for digital premieres on Netflix during this weekend.

6) Ariyippu

The film is a Malayalam language Indian drama written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The film is produced by Shebin Backer, under the banner of Shebin Backer Productions, Kunchacko Boban under the banner of Kunchacko Boban Productions and Mahesh Narayanan himself under the Moving Narratives banner. Disney Plus Hotstar:

1) Govinda Naam Mera

This Indian Hindi-language comedy thriller film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan under the banner Dharma Productions, in association with Viacom18 Studios stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film is all set for a direct-to-OTT release on Disney Plus Hotstar this weekend on December 16th.

Amazon Mini TV:

1) Physics Wallah

This Hindi language web series is scheduled for a digital premieres on Amazon Mini TV this weekend.
