The shooting of Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson is happening at a fast pace in Chennai. Rajinikanth who recently wrapped up his work on Coolie, has now joined this project.
Jailer was a massive hit, earning over Rs. 650 crores. Rajinikanth’s role as Muthuvel Pandian, along with Anirudh’s music, Nelson’s storytelling, and star cameos from Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff, made it a blockbuster.
Following this success, Jailer 2 is expected to refine the same winning formula. Shooting began near a theater in Royapettah, focusing on Rajinikanth’s scenes.
This schedule will last 15 days before shifting to a studio in ECR.
Reports suggest that Balakrishna who was initially considered for Jailer might join the sequel in a bigger role. Meanwhile, Anirudh has already composed a theme song for the film, hinting at an exciting continuation.
