As Tollywood producer Dil Raju purchases the Telugu theatrical rights for Ranbir Kapoor’s mafia film, Animal’s box office competition gets underway.
Animal, the next gangster drama starring Ranbir Kapoor, is scheduled for release on December 1. Producer Bhushan Kumar recently acknowledged that he was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s brilliant strategy for reaching the south Asian market and creating a massive hit with Jawan. Now that Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film has drawn inspiration from all the best prospects, it is prepared to utterly dominate the South market.
According to rumours, renowned Tollywood producer Dil Raju has purchased the movie’s Telugu-speaking theatrical rights. He got a great deal, and he’s ready to promote the movie and make sure it does well financially.
Given that the producer spent a massive 15 crore on it, this agreement is remarkable. This guarantees that Animal will be widely distributed throughout the Telugu states without any interruption, overlap, or reduction in the number of screens or shows!
According to reports, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is aiming for a 50+ crore company from the Telugu states with Dil Raju on board. For the uninitiated, Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent film, was also released in Telugu and grossed about 24 crore there. However, the Telugu states’ revenues made a much larger contribution. In Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, Animal will be released.
In a recent interview, producer Bhushan Kumar stated that his lead actress Rashmika Mandanna and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga both have a big following in the southern regions and that he could not pass up such a significant chance to appeal to the South Indian market.
With the addition of Varisu producer Dil Raju, Animal’s pre-box office competition already points to a win-win scenario.
For those who don’t know, Dil Raju is a two-time National Award-winning producer who received recognition for Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi in 2019 and Prakash Raj’s Sathamanam Bhavati in 2016 for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead in Animal, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri in supporting roles. The gangster drama dropped out and chose December 1 instead of August 11, when it was scheduled to compete alongside Gadar 2 and OMG 2. The movie is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who caused quite a sensation with his remake of his Vijay Deverakonda-starring film Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor.
