Esha Gupta recalls her encounter with occurrences on the casting couch and makes some alarming assertions.
On social media, Esha Gupta has a sizable following that is there for the right reasons. As she posts glimpses of her daily life on Instagram, their followers enjoy keeping up with her personal life. The Bollywood diva’s beauty, glitz, and humour have never failed to mesmerise.
Did you realise, though, that Esha had twice in her cinematic career fallen victim to the casting couch trap? Yes, that is true, but the actress’s strong resolve enabled her to survive such terrifying situations. In a recent interview, Gupta recalled those incidents and discussed how she was handled.
Esha Gupta discussed how a movie producer asked her for a s**xual favour but when she declined, the producer fired her from the project, according to an interview with SpotboyE. The movie was just halfway done, she remarked. The co-producer informed the director that he did not want to see me in the movie after I declined. How am I acting on the set? Some filmmakers even stopped considering me for roles after this. I had heard that they used to ask, “What is the point of putting me in the movie if I’m not going to do anything?”
Esha recalled another frightening casting couch event that occurred while she was working on an outdoor photo shoot and said, “There were two people who set the casting couch trap. Despite my understanding, I decided to see the movie anyhow because it was a modest effort on their part. He believed that during the outdoor shot, I would be caught in his trap. I was also wise enough to promise that I wouldn’t sleep alone. I requested that my makeup artist stay in my room. She continued to get angry by saying, “They think that if we need work, then we can get anything done.”
Esha Gupta paved her own way in Bollywood through hard work and enthusiasm. She was last observed at work in the One Day: Justice Delivered
