These days small films are turning more profitable!

The star hero movies that ride on the popularity of the stars like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Jr. NTR, normally are produced at a cost of 45 to 60 crores and the movies pre-release business stands at 70 to 85 crores. But their latest movies like Spyder, Jai Lava Kusa and PSPK25 are crossing the 100 crore pre-release budget mark and it has become highly volatile for the distributors and Industry to sustain on such high budget films.

In the meantime, as a blessing, mid range stars like Nani, Nikhil and Sharwanand have rose to the occasion and their continuous successes and more films in a calendar year have become more profitable for Industry. Nani’s previous film collected more than 50crores gross at the box office with a budget of 14 crores and his latest, Ninnu Kori also collected a gross of 35 crores in ten days over a budget of 12 crores. The actor takes a remuneration of 5 crores and with such controlled budgets his movies are been able to become hits and superhits at the box office.

Even Nikhil Siddharth and Sharwanand’s movies to cost less than 15 crores and their collections range at 25 to 35 crores in gross. Nikhil’s Keshava has grossed more than 35 crores and Sharwanand has hit jackpot with Shatamanam Bhavati, as the movie collected more than 55 crores gross. Well, the Industry Insiders feel if big actors whose films ride on big amounts, can accommodate at least two releases in one calendar year, the Industry can see the golden days again and prosper better. We wish the big actors are listening and watching the trends!
