There is no Mahanati without Rajendra Prasad

The young director, Nag Ashwin is the major man on every other producer’s radar and also his honesty to make a movie on Savitri that celebrates her image and also show her downfall, is being discussed by many too. The movie is collecting big by improving each day and the Sunday bookings are already full. The way the mouth talk about this movie is leading people to theaters, shows the young generations love for good cinema and great love to Savitri.

Well, the young director attended the press meet of Rajendra Prasad, who completed 41 years of career. At the meet, Nag Ashwin said, “From the first moment, I read about KV Chowdary, Savitri’s uncle, I couldn’t imagine anyone else but Rajendra Prasad in that role. From the time, we got him onboard he has been a positive influence. All of us are very young in front of him, but he had same zeal and he is the man who supported Keerthy Suresh right from the first day. He helped her pick up on the nuances and it is him, who guided us in the right direction.”

He also said that without him he cannot imagine Mahanati. Rajendra Prasad, emotionally said that he invited many directors to this meet and as a sensitive guy, he felt he could die after hearing to all that they said about him. Well, his character in Mahanati, while balances the comic part also provides the emotional core that explodes in the second half of the film.
