After Court and Band Melam, Harsh Roshan returns with Thella Kagitham. The film’s teaser, trailer and songs received decent attention but failed to create much buzz. A leaked video and the team’s police complaint brought fresh curiosity, especially among youngsters. Let’s see if the film meets those expectations.

Thella Kagitham Story: Ramu (Harsh Roshan) loses his parents at a young age and is raised by his elder brother and sister-in-law. At school, he falls in love with Asha (Nakshatra). Ramu’s friend Shiva (Deepak) and his uncle Bezawada Mamaiah (Rajkumar Kasireddy) influence him in the wrong way, leading to Asha becoming pregnant. What happens after her father Murthy (Ajay) discovers the truth forms the rest of the story.

Performances: Harsh Roshan plays a familiar role but handles the intimate scenes well. Nakshatra impresses with her looks and expressions. Ajay delivers a solid performance, while Rajkumar Kasireddy stands out with his unique character. Sharanya and the supporting cast are decent.

Technical Aspects: Teenage love stories are not new, but Thella Kagitham adds a real-life incident to the familiar setup. The first half is simple, while the second half works better emotionally. The film delivers a useful message about teenagers seeking help from their parents when they face serious problems.

Vijay Bulganin’s music and background score are good. Nandu’s dialogues, Guhan’s cinematography and the production values are also strong.

Analysis: Thella Kagitham may not match the impact of Court, but it is still a decent film. The emotional second half and its message make it worth considering for a theatrical watch.

Verdict: A familiar teenage love story that gains strength from its emotional second half and meaningful message.
Bottom Line: Decent teenage drama.
