There is terrible news if you were hoping for a Jab We Met 2 update. The truth has been exposed by director Imtiaz Ali.
We have some bad news for all Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor fans. Even while there were numerous rumours that Jab We Met 2 was in development, it appears that they were all unfounded. Fans adored Kareena and Shahid’s enchanted chemistry in the 2007 movie Jab We Met. Although it appears that there won’t be a sequel to the popular movie, viewers might not be able to find out what Geet and Aditya are up to. Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, and Dara Singh were among the actors who starred in the movie.
Director of Jab We Met Imtiaz Ali recently stated in an interview that he has no story to give for a sequel and that all claims that a sequel is in the works are untrue. Imtiaz remarked in an interview, “No, it’s not happening. Jab We Met 2 won’t have a tale from me yet. These are things I’ve read about and heard about. I wasn’t consulted before they were published, so I’m not sure what to say. But let’s wait and see.
Even though Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were preoccupied with dealing with their personal problems, they still managed to produce one of Imtiaz’s best films, Jab We Met. Fans still think of Aditya and Geet as two legendary figures. Aditya was calm and methodical in his approach, in contrast to Geet’s chattiness and ability to liven up the gathering.
Director Imtiaz is currently working on his following project, Chamkila, even if Jab We Met 2 is not on his to-do list. Imtiaz also provided an intriguing update during the same interview with News 18 while talking about the movie. It will arrive soon, he replied. When people see it, I hope they like it. As a filmmaker, I felt like the experience of filming for Chamkila was really unusual. I felt quite unlearned while making it, which is why I’m confident the audience would notice it once they watch it. It required a lot of unlearning.
