Top actors like NTR, ANR and Krishna had floated their own productions back in the day and produced several films under that banner. While ANR’s Annapurna Studios continues to be one of the leading production houses to date, NTR and Krishna weren’t as successful in their production ventures.
Post that, none of the top heroes had established their production houses. This is now back in trend, with almost every hero establishing their own production house, including Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. NTR has his brother Kalyan Ram’s NTR Arts Banner, while Prabhas has Gopi Krishna Creations and UV Creations, both of which belong to his family or friends.
This trend is now being continued by Ravi Teja, who recently scored a massive hit with Krack. Not only has the actor hiked his remuneration to nearly Rs. 15 Crores after Krack, but has also decided to become a producer, by floating his own production house, which will co-produce his upcoming film with debutant Sarath Mandava. This will mark Ravi Teja’s debut as a producer, as the actor has always stuck to just remuneration previously. With more and more actors turning producers, it is to be seen who else will turn a producer now.
