KGF Chapter 2 starring Yash in the lead role has completed two weeks run at the worldwide box office. As per the reports, the film has collected more than Rs 900 crore gross by the end of its 2 weeks run.
Coming to the twin Telugu states, the film’s pre-release business was done for Rs 74 crore. Reportedly, by the end of its 2 weeks run, KGF2 has collected a distributor share of Rs 76.75 crore.
Below is area-wise break up data in Telugu states:
Nizam: Rs 40.10 crore
Ceded: Rs 10.61 crore
Uttarandhra: Rs 7.03 crore
East: Rs 5.21 crore
West: Rs 3.20 crore
Guntur: Rs 4.22 crore
Krishna: Rs 3.88 crore
Nellore: Rs 2.5 crore
Grand Total- Rs 76.75 crore
But the twist in the tale is that though KGF 2 minted 76.75 crore share from twin Telugu states and even crossed the break-even mark with overall revenues, the film is yet to achieve the break-even target in the Andhra region. Trade reports indicate that the pre-release business for KGF 2 for the entire Andhra region is done for Rs 49 crore but the film has collected only Rs 36.65 crore share by the end of two weeks run. As Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s social drama, Acharya is all set to hit the screens tomorrow, KGF 2 might witness losses in the Andhra region, say sources.
