Sailesh Kolanu is a rising director in Telugu cinema, known for his successful debut as a director with ‘HIT.’ This movie’s success led to the creation of a franchise, with two films already released. However, Sailesh is taking a break from the franchise to work on ‘Saindhav‘ alongside Venkatesh.
During the promotion of ‘Saindhav,’ Sailesh shared his experience working briefly on Shankar–Ram Charan‘s project, ‘Gamechanger.’ He was hired to shoot some additional scenes, typically handled by assistant or associate directors in the absence of the main director. Surprisingly, Shankar Sir wanted an experienced filmmaker for this task, and Sailesh was chosen for it.
Sailesh clarified that he shot various minor scenes like establishing shots and passing shots for ‘Gamechanger,’ a role usually assigned to assistant directors. He happily took on the responsibility, respecting the request from Shankar Sir, and did the work for Charan Anna, Dil Raju garu, and Shankar Sir.
Meanwhile, Sailesh is also working on the next installment of the ‘HIT’ franchise featuring Nani. He expressed his desire to create more movies set in the fictional city introduced in ‘Saindhav,’ provided the film becomes a hit. ‘Saindhav’ is set to hit screens on the 13th of this month, following the releases of ‘HanuMan‘ and ‘Guntur Kaaram.’
