The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas and directed by Maruthi, is a pan-India film produced by People Media Factory with a budget of around Rs. 400 crores. Despite negative talk from premiere shows and heavy social media trolling, the film opened strongly and collected over Rs. 100 crores on day one.
Collections dropped from the third day, but festival holidays helped it run steadily through the second week and parts of the third week also.

The Raja Saab did a worldwide business of Rs. 249.3 crores. The break-even target was later fixed at Rs. 210 crores. After 17 days, the film collected Rs. 120.97 crores share and Rs. 204.8 crores gross, and still needs Rs. 89.03 crores share to break even.
