The Paradise premiered on Netflix after completing its theatrical run and entered the platform’s top 10 trending movies list during its first week.
However, the film’s OTT release has triggered fresh criticism and trolling. Despite receiving mixed reviews and low ratings from critics, the film collected impressive numbers in theatres, particularly in Telangana and North America.
The makers may have expected a better response on OTT, hoping viewers would enjoy the film more at home.
However, the digital release has failed to change opinions, as several viewers continue to criticise the film on social media. Non-Telugu audiences have also expressed disappointment.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise features Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni alongside Nani.
