Sankranti and clashes have been a deadly combination in the Telugu film industry for decades. Recently, we have seen top senior actors Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna compete at the box office for Sankranti 2023. Waltair Veerayya starring Chiru won the clash over Veera Simha Reddy starring Balayya.
So what’s the next biggest clash? Obviously, it’s again for Sankranti 2024. The biggest clash for the biggest festival season. Already we all know that said-to-be a pan-international film, project K is announced to release on 12th january 2024. Even news is coming in that the much-anticipated Shankar and Ram Charan film, which has equal excitement among Telugu as well as Tamil audiences is also aiming for the same season release. Inside reports say that Dil Raju, the producer of the film is highly excited to release the film at any cost for the coming Sankranti.
The third one is already a largely proven combination across every family in Telugu states. Trivikram and Mahesh Babu’s previous collaborations are largely celebrated, and there is no doubt in saying it is one of the best collaborations ever in Telugu cinema. After the success of Ala Vaikunthapuramulo, everyone is eagerly awaiting Trivikram’s next release. And the makers are planning to release the film for Sankranti 2024, although the producers are having planned for August, 2023 release. It seems tough to complete the shoot until October, say sources.
Three of the biggest films are in the running for Sankranti 2024. Prabhas having 2 releases in a short period of time in the form of Adipurush ( June) and Salaar( September). Sources opinion that the delay in post-production of Project K will not make the film join the Sankranti season. To be precise, the biggest clash for Mahesh and Charan is highly-possible during the upcoming Sankranti.
