Natural star Nani surprises his fans by playing the role of a village goon trying to seek revenge, a complete twist from his usual role as a lover boy. Nani’s character is named Dharani, and the Female lead, Keerthi Suresh, is Vennela. It gives us a trace of a love story as one of the movie’s components. Keerthi Suresh is seen in the getup of the Telugu bride with playful behaviour. The film also stars Samuthirakani, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sai Kumar in leading roles. Santhosh Narayanan, who predominantly works in Tamil, has concentrated on Telugu with Dasara. The composer is also working on Prabhas’ Project K.
The background setting is Singareni coal mining near Godavarikhani, a village in Telangana. The trailer starts with the Telangana folk song “Chitthu Chitthula Bomma which is generally sung during the Bathukamma festival. The visuals show a lot of bloodshed in intense fights with traditional weapons.
The filmmakers planned a grand worldwide release of this movie in five languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. With this hit, Nani will mark his PAN India entry. Dasara will hit screens this March 30th. During the launch of the film last month, Nani defined Dasara as the “pure raw, rustic, and adrenaline-rush” of a movie.
