“The GOAT” A Big Loss For Telugu Distributors

Vijay’s latest film, “The GOAT,” started well in Tamil Nadu but hasn’t done as well in Telugu states. After a strong opening day, the film quickly lost momentum and has been pulled from many theaters.

The film’s pre-release business in Telugu states was close to 15 crores, but it has earned less than half that amount.

Reports suggest that distributors in these states could face losses of over 5 crores. Despite a wide release, the action drama has turned out to be a big flop.

The GOAT

Director Venkat Prabhu has attributed the failure to references to the CSK cricket team in the film, but this explanation hasn’t helped improve the film’s performance.

The same issues are affecting its performance in Karnataka as well.
