The Fantasy Revolution in Telugu Films, Beyond Imagination

In the Telugu cinema, with we’ve seen some fantastic fantasy films like big hits ‘Bangarraju‘, ‘Karthikeya 2‘, ‘Bimbisara‘, ‘Virupaksha‘, and ‘Ooru Peru Bhairavakona‘ drawing in crowds.

Now, even big stars like Chiranjeevi and Prabhas are diving into the genre. Chiranjeevi, after ‘Anji‘, is gearing up for ‘Vishwambhara‘, a socio-fantasy flick directed by Vassishtha and produced by UV Creations. And Prabhas is set to stun with ‘Kalki 2898 AD, a sci-fi epic directed by Nag Ashwin, featuring stars like Kamal Hassan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.

There’s also buzz about his other film, ‘Raja Saab‘, having a fantasy twist. Naga Chaitanya‘s next with talented makers Karthik Dandu promises fantasy elements similar to ‘Virupaksha’, while Chandoo Mondeti is cooking up ‘Karthikeya 3’ after the success of the first two parts.

Teja Sajja‘s ‘Mirai‘ and ‘Jai Hanuman‘ are also adding to the fantasy frenzy in Tollywood. It’s clear that the fantasy genre is the new darling of Telugu filmmakers, offering audiences an escape into magical realms and thrilling adventures.
