Ever since the theatrical trailer of Amazon Prime’s much-awaited second season of The Family Man was out, the entire team members are facing severe backlash from Tamilians as the way Samantha’s character has been projected as a suicide bomber, who has connections with LTTE in the promo has hurt their sentiments. Even the Tamil Nadu government has written to Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javedkar to immediately ban the OTT show.
While the topic is still in the limelight, the latest we hear from our sources is that Amazon Prime management has issued gag order to Samantha asking her to remain tight-lipped regarding the prevailing controversy around the show. On the other hand, the show creators Raj and DK have already requested the Tamil audience to just be patient and wait for the show and later respond to it.
Along with Samantha, the show also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi among others in prominent roles. The show is all set for a stream from June 4th onwards.
