The Controversy Surrounding Koratala Siva’s Srimanthudu

Director Koratala Siva, known for his successful films “Srimanthudu” and “Janatha Garage,” determined him in legal trouble when a writer named Sarath Chandra filed a petition in the Nampally court alleging that Siva used his story from Swathi magazine for “Srimanthudu” without permission. The Nampally court instructed criminal charges against Siva based on this petition.

Siva contested this decision by approaching the Telangana High Court, but unfortunately, the High Court upheld the Nampally court’s verdict after reviewing evidence from Sarath Chandra and the Writers Association. Consequently, criminal charges were initiated against Siva.

Attempting to resolve the issue, Siva sought intervention from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court considered his petition but ultimately upheld the lower courts’ decisions, ordering Siva to face the charges according to their directives. This legal ordeal has raised concerns among fans of NTR, as Siva is currently engaged in directing a pan-Indian action drama titled “Devara” featuring NTR in the lead role.

Fans are worried about the court case’s impact on the progress of “Devara” and the general viability of their beloved hero’s major work. The incident highlights the difficulties and challenges that can occur in the entertainment industry in terms of intellectual property rights and legal conflicts, which affect both filmmakers and the projects with which they are involved.
