The Bold Move By The Maharaja Producer Has Been Highly Successful

Vijay Sethupathi Maharaja was released on Friday and having a positive talk everywhere. Initially no top producer or distributor was interested in buying the Telugu rights of the film.

veteran producer NV Prasad took a bold step and bought the Telugu theatrical and satellite rights for Rs 2 crores.

After strong collections on Saturday and Sunday, Maharaja is expected to earn over Rs 5 crores in Telugu states, with around Rs 2 crores just from the Nizam region.

Given its reception and box office numbers the satellite rights may fetch Rs 3 crores. NV Prasad stands to make a profit of at least Rs 6 crores from the Telugu version of Maharaja, marking significant earnings for a dubbed film.

Recent Tamil movies have not performed well with Telugu audiences making distributors and producers cautious. The producers of Maharaja initially sought profit sharing deals but found no takers.

Despite the risks, NV Prasad’s decision has paid off handsomely with Maharaja.
