Director-actor Tharun Bhascker known for his humorous storytelling, now wants to explore intense drama.
From his debut Pelli Choopulu he built a strong image for making simple and relatable films filled with light comedy and subtle wit.
His work both as a writer and actor, has mostly stayed in this space.
Currently he is busy promoting his upcoming film Gaayapadda Simham where he plays a lead role. He is also directing ENE 2 the sequel to his cult hit Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi.
Tharun shared that films like Arjun Reddy and Dhurandhar inspired him to step into a different zone without fail. He now plans to make a full-length intense drama in the coming years.
