Devi Sri Prasad and SS Thaman are two of the leading music directors in Tollywood right now. Both the music directors have delivered several chartbuster albums throughout their careers, and have worked with almost every filmmaker in the industry – big or small. While DSP is working on a few projects, Thaman is more find demand right now, with various filmmakers showing interest in working with Thaman.
Interestingly, many are comparing Thaman with DSP right now, in terms of their work culture. There have been several reports and instances where it was said that DSP had given more importance to certain directors over others, and procrastinated work on several occasions, being airy at times, and many other factors, all deeming him to be difficult to work with. It is now being said that Thaman is behaving in a very similar manner, which is why director Surender Reddy is said to have replaced him with Hip-hop Tamizha, in his upcoming film Agent, starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead role.
Thaman is currently working on several big-ticket films, and delivered the biggest chartbuster of his career last year, with the Ala Vaikuntapuramlo album. He is onboard for Trivikram’s film with Mahesh, and also for Bheemla Nayak, among others.
