Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay addresses students and gives them tips on conducting fair elections.

The popular Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay, who has avoided politics, appears to have finally changed his mind.

Vijay is awarding three top-ranking students from 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu who excelled in the SSLC and HSC exams, a decision that might have long-lasting political repercussions in the state where superstars have been entwined with politics.

The best pupils and their parents attended the conference that was held in Chennai, and the Vijay fan group, Vijay Makkal Iyyakam, made all the necessary preparations for them to travel from their home cities to Chennai.

In his interactions with the parents and pupils, Vijay advised the children to caution their parents against buying votes. According to him, political parties have reportedly spent up to Rs 15 crore in each assembly district. He questioned how these political groups could cover the election expenses and said that corruption often begins in this way.

Students were advised by the young actor who will be next featured in the Logesh Kanaraj film “Leo” to study hard and follow their dreams.

On May 28, World Hunger Day, Vijay’s fan association served food to people, marking his gradual but steady entry into social life.

The fact that Vijay prefers to recognize the winners in each of the 234 assembly districts is a blatant sign that the superstar has a long political career in Tamil Nadu in mind.

According to sources in the Vijay Makkal Iyyakam, the superstar has spoken with a number of veteran journalists, bureaucrats, and actors to gauge their opinions before entering politics.

Vijay had previously attempted to enter politics, but his dreams were thwarted by the likelihood of Rajinikanth entering the electoral fray. However, Vijay is currently contemplating another entry.

Politics and film have long been linked in Tamil Nadu. C.N. Anndurai, M. Karunanidhi, MGR, and Jayalalitha, the late chief ministers of Tamil Nadu, rose to prominence in the film business before entering politics.
