It is widely known that Kollywood star Vijay will be collaborating with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a project. The film marks the second time association of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after the 2021 film, Master.
Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film had a formal launch this morning in Chennai. Reportedly, the formal pooja ceremony for the film happened at Vinayaka Temple located inside AVM Studios. News is also that Trisha is roped in as the female lead in the movie.
As on now, Thalapathy 67 will go on the floors in January. Reports also indicate that the film will have a Kashmir backdrop for some portions of the film. On the other hand, the news is also in the circulation that Thalapathy 67 is going to be a gangster drama set in Mumbai backdrop.
A few weeks back news also came out that hero Vishal is under consideration for the antagonist role in the film. News also came out that reputed digital platform Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film by offering a massive price.
