TFI Leaders Hold Discussion With Telangana CM

Many from the Telugu film industry met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday after the recent controversy surrounding Allu Arjun‘s arrest.

The arrest was linked to a stampede at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre during the screening of Pushpa 2 which tragically claimed the life of a woman and injured her son. Allu Arjun was later granted bail.

During the meeting Revanth Reddy stressed that celebrities should take responsibility for managing fans and ensuring law and order. However he assured the delegation of the government support for Telugu filmmakers and actors.

Revanth Reddy expressed his sorrow over the stampede and emphasized the seriousness of the incident. He criticized celebrities for visiting Allu Arjun’s house after his release but not addressing the tragedy, especially the condition of Revathi’s son, Sri Tej who remains hospitalized.

Meanwhile, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy suggested that ticket price hikes may be allowed only for certain films promoting history, freedom struggles, or anti-drug messages.

If implemented, this decision could affect major Sankranti releases like Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, as producers depend on higher ticket prices for strong opening weekends.
