Kolaigaran, a Tamil film is released in Telugu on Friday and it is titled Killer. This Vijay Antony and Arjun Sarja starrer has opened to mixed responses at the box office. While some have liked the plot, some are unhappy with Vijay Antony. Here is our take on the film.
Plot: Killer is all about the life of Prabhakaran (Vijay Antony), who confesses to police that he has murdered his girlfriend. Not being able to what he has said, DCP Karthikeyan (Arjun) deciced to investigate deep into this case. What happens next as Karthikeyan gets to unveil the layers in the case, forms the crux of the story.
Performances: Arjun Sarja has played his role well and was looking dashing as a cop. As Karthikeyan, maybe there would have been no one else who would do the role better. Vijay Antony was as usual. Not so great, and not so bad. He should think about changing his facial expressions when needed. Nassar’s role was pretty helpful for the cops to solve the case. Over all, all the actors have done their roles well.
Analysis: It would have been better if the director had avoided the songs. Though the tunes were nice, they had nothing to do with the narration. Especially because the film is a thriller, duets and melodious songs would definitely make us lose the interest in the plot. Screenplay, and the execution of the plot have been really good. On the whole, Killer is worth a watch this weekend.
