Superstar Rajnikanth and Shankar are coming together for third time for the sequel of their most popular science fiction action entertainer, Robo. The movie is titled 2.0 and Akshay Kumar is acting in the movie as the antagonist. Amy Jackson is playing the androhumonoid lady lead for Chitti. Rajni will return as Vasigaran, Chitti and 2.0, in the film.
Lyca Productions is bankrolling the most costliest movie ever produced in Indian Cinema. Baahubali series even though said to have a production budget of 400 crores, it is distributed over two films but 2.0 is said to have cost 350 crores just for one film. The movie was supposed to release for Diwali this year, but then shifted to 25th January 2018. Now, the producers have decided to release it in April for Summer advantage.
Already, two telugu biggies, Mahesh Babu’s film with Koratala and Naa Peru Surya, starring Allu Arjun in the direction of debutante director Vakkantham Vamsi have booked the same date in the month. The producers are in discussions to move their film ahead for two weeks from 27th April. But with Rajni-Shankar film deciding to release for same month, all the available dates will become unavailable for Telugu market. So, producer Bunny Vasu of Naa Peru Surya, decided to move a complaint against Lyca Productions in Producers Council. This could lead to a ban on film from releasing in Telugu market as it is a dubbed film. Distributors might oppose it but it is upto producers to come to a conclusion on the dates and release the film. Let’s wait and see, how will the issue be resolved.
