It is well-known that the shooting for Tamil Super Star Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Annaatthe was stalled last December after the crew members tested positive for Covid-19. Later, even Rajinikanth was hospitalized in Hyderabad after complaining about fluctuations in the blood pressure.

After more than two months back, the film’s shooting resumed in Chennai in the month of March. Later, in the first week of this month, the film’s shooting shifted to Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

But with yesterday’s announcement by the Telangana government on night curfew, the Annaatthe team is left with no option but to halt the shooting and went back to Chennai. Reportedly, the film’s shooting will only resume once after the Covid situation comes to normalcy.

Touted as a rural family entertainer, Annaatthe has Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads. Siva is the director and Sun Pictures banner is bankrolling it. D Imman is scoring music for the film.
