Sometimes, the efforts of a few are quite impressive. One such independent film is “Tatva”. This 58-minute movie, streaming on the ETV Win app, captivates viewers with its fresh concept and high-quality execution. So, what exactly is “Tatva”? Let’s find out now…!

Tatva Movie Review

Tatva Story: Arif is an ordinary taxi driver who unexpectedly gets caught up in the murder case of a businessman named Thomas. A senior police officer, Jyotsna, who is about to become the DCP’s daughter-in-law in two days, steps in to handle this high-profile case that has been making headlines. Arif says that it was God who made him go through all this.

What is the relationship between Arif and Thomas? How does Arif get implicated in the murder case? Did Jyotsna manage to prove Arif’s innocence, or did she lead him to punishment? “Tatva” answers these intriguing questions.

Performances: Although the main hero of the film is Hima Dasari, the actor who truly shines is Usman Ghani, who breathes life into the character of Thomas. He not only brings humor and thought-provoking moments but also evokes strong emotions by the end. Hima Dasari also impressed in the role of Arif his performance as an average young man feels completely natural without any signs of being forced.

Pooja Reddy Bora, who plays a crucial third role, initially appears to have a typical character but surprises the audience by the end. Her character adds a significant twist to the story, enhancing its overall impact.

Technical Aspects: The music director, Sai Teja, deserves special praise for his work. The film features many layers, and the background music, tailored to each character and situation, significantly elevates the story’s theme. Cinematographer C.H. Sai was impressed with his camera work in several frames. While it’s unclear how much was spent on the film, the lighting, and digital imaging are top-notch.

Director Ruthvik has successfully executed a simple concept in a new way. Having worked as an assistant director he skillfully drives the thrilling narrative with his unique style. However, it’s worth noting that the storyline somewhat resembles the 2019 film “Game”. Still, the way he highlights the diminishing humanity in people is commendable. Most importantly, he wraps up the film in just 58 minutes without unnecessary prolongation, which is praiseworthy. However, the director simplified some logical aspects, and providing more detailed explanations on those points would have been beneficial. Overall, Ruthvik has earned good marks as both a director and a writer.

Analysis: Some concepts work best when they are kept crisp. Adding unnecessary songs and fights to stretch a film to two and a half hours can dull the concept. “Tatva” is a well-crafted thriller that captivates for a straightforward 58 minutes without any of that fluff. With its strong cinematography and background music as key highlights, this film is worth watching on the ETV Win.

Verdict: Tatva is a refreshing thriller that successfully captivates viewers in just 58 minutes. With a compelling storyline, strong cinematography, and effective background music, it stands out as a well-executed independent film. The absence of unnecessary elements keeps the narrative engaging, making it a must-watch for those seeking a concise and entertaining cinematic experience.

Bottom Line: Tight and Engaging thriller experience
