The ED department has been grilling several celebrities in the drugs case that was the hot topic in Tollywood, in 2017. A Special Investigation Team was formed in 2017, which investigated several celebrities, and their potential drug usage. The case was closed after the SIT confirmed that there was no evidence to prove that the said celebrities used drugs.
After 4 years now, the ED took up the case and started grilling the same celebrities, along with a few more people, in a different angle, related to the finances of these celebrities, as there have been discrepancies in the transactions of the bank accounts of these celebrities in those years. So far, director Puri Jagannadh and actors Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Nandu, Daggubati Rana, Ravi Teja, Navdeep, Ravi Teja, Mumaith Khan have been questioned by the ED, and more people are appearing before the ED every week.
Today, at 10 AM, actor Tanish, who was also seen in the second season of Bigg Boss Telugu, was seen at the ED’s office, where he was appearing before the ED. More celebrities are yet to appear before the ED.
